Mid Somerset 2021/22 AGM was held on 28th April 2022 at the Victoria Club Street.
I would like to congratulate all four captains for working extremely hard to put teams out regularly with general participation numbers in all team sport lower than we have ever seen before. However it has been a successful season for all teams with none of our teams being in any relegation troubles. Special mentions go to the Men's 2nd XI gaining promotion and Ladies 1st XI finishing second in their retrospective leagues.
As you all know none of the successes on the pitch can happen without an extremely hard-working committee so I would like to thank you all for that, especially Mary, Kim and Fiona as it has been a much harder time over the last two years with the pandemic and all of the extra work that has brought.
The publicity and promotion on social media have really helped keep our club progressing and encouraging new players and engagement so thank you to Izzy for your hard work.
I certainly feel the club is very strong and that is testament to the hard work of the committee, and I look forward to the future of the club with many new faces on the committee and wish you all every success.
